Sociedad Latina’s Youth Leaders published Jardines Para Todos (Gardens for All): a Guide to Simple, Accessible Home Growing. They developed this guidebook after recognizing the inaccessibility of healthy, affordable foods, the limited or nonexistent community garden spaces, and limited access to local agriculture in their neighborhoods. This guidebook, designed with support from the Hideo Sasaki Foundation and the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, offers practical, easy recommendations and solutions for growing produce at home, particularly in small urban spaces.

To amplify the guide’s impact, Sociedad Latina Youth Leaders hosted a series of community workshops. Participants learned gardening basics and created seed starts to take home for the summer growing season. Through this hands-on engagement, the project fostered environmental awareness, self-reliance, and local leadership.

Ultimately, the Jardines Para Todos project exemplifies how youth-driven design and community collaboration can address social equity and environmental resilience, making sustainable food growing accessible to all.
