Design Education › SEED
SEED is a six-week paid internship for high school students in Greater Boston. Interns explore careers in design by collaborating on real projects for local nonprofits. Teaching assistants support interns through the design process. Practitioners provide insight on design concepts and share their experiences. Project site tours with partner organizations put design in context. By the end of the summer, interns understand what it takes to design our surroundings and how they can make a difference in their communities.

Apply for our six-week Summer Exploratory Experience in Design (SEED) paid internship.
You’ll spend your summer collaborating on a group project while learning directly from professional designers. You’ll explore the fields of architecture, interior design, planning and urban design, and landscape architecture. You’ll learn about the questions designers ask and the tools they use. You’ll have conversations with design professionals. And you’ll practice common design techniques and tools.
